             A pleasant and happy morning to all.

         We believe in the philosophy that no child should be left behind, and no stone left unturned. Keeping this philosophy as our motto for the year, LIFPS begun her journey crossing many milestones. The year was a breakthrough that will be written in golden lines in the history of LIFPS.

         It gives me immense satisfaction and feel proud to share and keep you abreast with the events and activities of our school for the academic year 2017-18.

         Minds are like Parachutes, they only function when they are open-Thomas Dewar. When dedication is enveloped in the efforts of educating a child, the reverberation are undoubtedly appreciable. An empowered innovative and agile community of learners and mentors who achieve and contribute positively within and beyond the school.

         The results of AISSCE (XII) and AISSE(X) was brilliant and exemplary.

         91 students appeared in the Board exams of class X of which 28 have secured A1 in all subjects (31%) and 29 of them secured A1 in 4 subjects and A2 in 1 subject. 62% of our students’ secured 91% above that is CGPA A1.  27 % secured between 80 % - 90% of students secured distinction in the Board Exams 2017.

         35 students appeared in the Board Exams of Class XII, of which 2 have secured A1 in all subjects with 96% and 7 of them secured above 90%.

         Flikson C.J bagged 100 marks on 100 for Computer Science. Janet Joby 99/100 for Biology and Sandra Joshy 99/100 for Malayalam. It was really a brilliant result.

         CBSE has made a special note for outstanding academic performance and for being among the top 0.1% of successful candidates in Computer Science by Flikson C.J, Geo Benedict in English Core and Sandra Joshy in Malayalam. They are the National Toppers in the above mentioned subjects.

         Congratulations to the teaching staff for letting them perform exceptionally well and the flowerites for bringing a brilliant result, and uphelding the name of the school.

         1550 students are enrolled at LIFPS in the current academic year and 125 staff on both teaching and non teaching. We proudly present 158 students and getting them prepared for the forth coming CBSE Board Examination 2018. LIFPS wish you the very best and God’s Blessings for your exams.

         The finest and amazing achievement of LIFPS was the Inter National School Award by the British Council UK. The school was accredited by the British Council for 3 years from 2017-2020. The award was officially conferred to the school on 15th December 2017 at Taj International-Chennai, by Ms. Mei-Kwei Barker, Director, British Council South India.

         It is gratifying and humbling to be recognized especially on an International platform. We are grateful to God Almighty for His unceasing care and blessings in all our educational endeavours. This is the testimony of sincere efforts and commitment of the management, Principal ISA Co-ordinators, Project heads and supporting teachers, students, non-teaching staff, office staff, and stake holders in nurturing collaborative global learning in our students.

         We committed to continue this fine tuning between the management, staff, students and parents.

Induction Ceremony

         Induction programme for a team of freshers at LIFPS had on 1st June 2017, and it has been identified as an important way to promote the intertwined goals of teacher quality, teacher retention and student learning. Mentors who are initiated to the profession is sincerely committed to build a culture of an effective school.

Investiture Ceremony

         Every child is a unique gift of God with his/her own distinctive talent. It is the onus of the school, to identify that latent flair cultivate and hone it, and generate the opportunities to perfect it. 22nd June 2017, was an unforgettable day for all flowerites, and a proud moment for all office bearers of the student council. School Head boy, Asst. Head boy, General Captains, General Vice captains, House captains and vice captains officially adorned with the crown of house badges and sashes, so to take up the responsibilities of the student council, followed by the swearing in ceremony of the emerging leaders. Principal motivated them to reach the target of success.

Freshers’ Day

         3rd June 2017, was the day for freshers, class XI students were felicitated and welcomed officially with a solemn function in the presence of the Principal, staff and parents. Students were reminded of their responsibilities, and were informed that you should allow your passion to become your purpose, and it will one day become your profession.

         Great teachers are great learners. The quality education comes because of the potential caliber of teachers. Teachers need to be empowered and better trained for the development of teacher proficiency and competence that would enable them to meet the requirements of their deemed profession and face the challenges there in.

The school ensures the overall development of the students by conducting various training programmes like motivational classes and seminars by renowned and internationally reputed resource persons and CBSE empanelled agencies.

A Two day Vedic Maths class was conducted for students of class IX, X, XI and XII in the month of July .

PEACE FROM SKY- a multi – beneficiary seminar developed in the background of Astronomy, Psychology and philosophy was conducted in the school on 20th December with an aim to build the personalities, life skills and the careers of the participants. It is one of the major projects of BLUE IN PEACE, the organization that works for world peace.

A class on ‘How to face the examination’ by Rev. Fr. Benny Ennakappally CMI is scheduled on February 2nd to enable our students to perform with confidence in their examinations.

  • A one day training programme on Mental Health on 14th October 2017 at Amala Institute of Medical Science Department of Psychiatry.

  •  Attended All Kerala CBSE Principal’s Conference on 6th & 7th October 2017 at Gokulam Park, Kaloor.


The club activities for the academic session was formally inaugurated by   Mr. A.V Suraj,(Chief, Operating Officer Guruvayur Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd) on 7th July 2017. His inspiring talk enhanced the zeal and enthusiasm in all students.

Each club presented its logo and motto with relevant programmes. It was a fantabulous start to the upcoming events under the auspices of various clubs in the campus which proclaimed glory through its novelty and exuberance performance.

First day of every week clubs gather and discuss new ideas and thoughts and evaluate the functioning. Club activities help the students to be more creative and broaden the horizons of knowledge and interest.  This provides the ability to pursue their dreams.










The school recognizes, appreciates, applauds and fosters the inherited talents of the students and enables their creative urges to blossom naturally. Students are provided with many opportunities to explore and educate themselves in newer developments and possibilities in the field of science and other areas of knowledge.


Celebration of the World Environment Day on 5th June 2017 reverberated the campus with praises of Mother Earth and expression of our affection to her.  Mr. Suresh Panambilly the winner of ‘Vanamitra’ Award was the Chief Guest. He could bring forth the sanctity and solemnity of the occasion and make every one conscious about the need to safe guard our Mother Earth through his inspiring words.


Harvest Fest was also conducted on the same occasion. It was inaugurated by Mr. Suresh Panambilly. Students cultivated the vegetable seeds which were distributed by the school during vacation with a view to create kitchen vegetable garden in every home. It was a great achievement that our students were equipped with pragmatic knowledge of farming. Students shared their experiences. A large quantity of vegetables were available for sale.


We celebrated the feast of our dear principal Sr. Anitha Arrackal On 25th July. Vibrant flowerites illuminated the stage and took the audience to moments of celebration through variety entertainment programme. The festive mood manifested its peak when the teachers too joined with a melodious song. It was really a memorable day to cherish.


Independence Day was celebrated in the school with great enthusiasm and respect. Munsife Magistrate of Chalakudy, Mr. Sirajudheen was the chief guest of the day. To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the chief guest unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the national anthem. Indeed it was a day of joy to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity.  


Excellencia 2017 was celebrated on 26th June to honour the meritorious students who secured A1 grade in all subject in the AISSE examination 2016-17. The day was made them feel that they are accepted and rewarded for their accomplishments.


 The power to question is the basis of all human progress. Smart Brain Quiz ensures complete participation of students from CBSE schools across the state. This mega quiz show has four levels of competition. Smart Brain Quiz Preliminary level was conducted in the school on October 30th for students and teachers and the winners will be contested at the district level.     


Onam is a time to show off our vast cultural heritage and rich variety for all the Keralites who celebrate it with much vigour. Onam was celebrated on 31st August in the school amidst great cheer and cultural extravaganza. Manager Rev. Sr. Leenus Kottekudy, Principal Rev. Sr. Anitha Arrackal and PTA President Mr. Sajimon C.D. addressed the students. Traditional games like Tug of war, Uriyadi, and Floral Carpet were the highlights of the day. Payasam was distributed to all the students. Sumptuous Onasadhya was served to all the staff members.


Teachers play a major role in making their students responsible citizens of tomorrow and good human beings. Teachers’ day was celebrated on 31st August in school as it was holiday on September 5. Students from class XII welcomed them with roses and there were several competitions for the teachers. The students took great effort to make the day enjoyable.


The school organized an international food fest on 19th July. The fest was inaugurated by manager Rev Sr. Leenus Kottekudy. The participants displayed French, Italian and German dishes on the tables and explained the recipes to the judge. Mr. Anand Thomas, Assistant Professor from Naipunnya Institute of Management Studies.


School day, our patroness day was celebrated on 12th October. Vicar Rev. Fr. Sebastian Manikathan offered a spiritual banquet for flowerites. It was a day of celebration. The occasion inspired the young minds to be more genuine to God as St. Little Flower been to Jesus.                


We all share the desire for the well being of our children, which has always been and will continue to be the most cherished aspiration of humankind. Children’s day was celebrated in the school on November 14th. The tiny tots attired colourful and staged wonderful performances which added beauty to the event.


Christmas is a time to give and forgive. Celebrated everywhere as a joyous family, we too, at School celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ in a grand manner on 23rd December. Principal Rev. Sr. Anitha Arrackal addressed the gathering with a thoughtful Christmas massage. The festivities included boun natale… delicious treats and Santa Claus joined the celebrations and everyone exchanged the X’mas gifts. Inter House Carol song competition was also conducted and participants were rewarded after the programme.


Cultural fests conducted in a school help gauging the talented. Inter – house cultural fest is a healthy way of arraying children to compete with their peers and excel them to be the best. Cultural fest preliminary was conducted in different venues of our school on 7th August 2017. Finalists were chosen for the Finals of the Cultural fest held on 30th August. Winners were sent to the District Sahodaya Competitions.


CBSE District Sahodaya Kalotsav of 2017-18 has brought laurels to LITTLE FLOWER PUBLIC SCHOOL. It was held on October 26th, 27th and 28th at Paramekav Vidya Mandir, Thrissur. 81 students of our school participated in various events. Children of our school showed much enthusiasm to present the best of their talent. Angelin Rose Varghese of Class X won the FIRST PRIZE in Malayalam Essay Writing While Gayathri P. of class XII won FIRST PRIZE in Malayalam Story Writing. ‘Margamkali’ of H S section won I Prize and was well appreciated by the audience.

IES Chittilapilly, Thrissur hosted the State Sahodaya Kalotsav. In the prestigious Kalotsav conducted on November 26th and 27th, our school made its presence in two individual items and one group item. Angelin Rose Varghese of Class X secured the first prize in Malayalam Essay Writing. Margamkali performed by our students Cat. 3 won A grade at the State Level received special appreciation.


INTER SCHOOL COMPETITIONS help measure children’s caliber level and weakness to make necessary corrective methods to improve their potential. Keeping this in mind our school has taken part in ‘COLLOQUIM’ a debate on medical tourism a research oriented topic, conducted by Cresent Public School, Chalakudy. Our children won 3rd position with a cash prize for Rs. 3000/-.


Quiz competitions proves the intelligence and mind power to recollect the facts in no time. Our school Teams from class XI Ashna Shaju  and Merlin Jose took part in the Quiz competition organized  by Sahradaya College on 8th November 2017 and our students showed that they are updated and up – to – date by securing second position with a cash prize for Rs. 1000/-.


Brain Knockout 2018 was conducted house wise for Cat.2 and Cat.3 in our school on 22nd Dec. 2017. Our Students proved that they are unbeatable. It was a commendable performance by all the teams.


The Ultimate Spell Bee State Level Reality Show was held at Christava Mahilalayam Public School Aluva on 9th May 2017. Our students secured the second position competing with students from all over Kerala. Christin Biju, Grace Paul and Krishnamohan Nair S emerged as the winners. They received a certificate, trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 15000/-


All India Citizen Development Centre, Aurangabad called for a Drawing and Handwriting  Competition. Kalaratna Award was won by the following students of our school for their stellar performance.

Indoor as well as outdoor games are important for the vibrant youth to exhibit their strength. Children of our school excelled in Thrissur Sahodaya Carroms Competition. Athul P D and John Babu of XII of our school won First in Carroms where as girls won second in the same.


Student Development Society conducted a National colouring competition. Five of our children won the Kala Gaurav Award 2017 for the colouring.

To race with the competitive world our children are given training. Race Solution is training students from Class V onwards to gather knowledge and skills and to familarise them to the syllabi and examinations. A mock Civil Service Examination was conducted and 81 students of our school appeared for the exam. Out of eighty one, fifty students are qualified for the Second level. It was indeed a brilliant performance.


Little Flower Public School feels the pulse of the children and make them competent in their favourite sport of Roller Skating. In the All Kerala Roller Skating Hockey Tournament held on 2nd and 3rd of Dec. 2017 at Thodupuzha. Aiwin C Byju of VIII C and Dilraj Dileepkumar of VII B won first prize in Roller Skating Hockey event.


We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give – Winston Churchil. We try to channelize the energy and caliber of our little Flowerites into a fruitful direction of personality development through outreach programme. We train students to maintain patience and resilence in their difficulty. We judiciously fulfilled our students’ holistic development by arranging various outreach activities and enable to groom the students for future leadership.

As a part of our onus LIFPS initiated a few projects and activities which had an overwhelming response from the public.

  • A road show on safe driving  “Kavacham” on 21st Dec. 2017 at the Main Junctions on N H Chalakudy, Muringoor and Koratty to raise public awareness on safe driving and spread ‘save Life’ massage.

  • “Little Share” is a project initiated by little flowerites – One rupee per day from each student to contribute for the homeless.

  • Visit to de-addiction centre – Punerjeni – on 31st August 2017 at Poomala Thrissur, the students collected the contribution from their fellow beings and distribute to the inmates. Dr. John K Mangalam, The managing  trustee of the organization Punarjani, oriented our students on the usage of drugs among teens  and its negative impacts on them.    


Our school’s PTA is very   concrete and stands rooted, headed by Mr. Sajimon C.D. Their participatory approach has made the relationship among parents, teachers and school fruitful.  

The school conducted class PTA meetings from LKG to Class XII emphasizing on the prosperous prospects of the students.

December 9th was celebrated as Parents ‘day in our school.  Orientation programme was conducted by Dr. Madhujan Clinical psychologist and consultant which focused on effective parenting. The scientific and psychological approach and the various biological changes during the child’s development, shared by resource person were informative to the parents. Various cultural programmes by parents and teachers made the day colourful.  Inaugurated the sale of cake aiming at raising fund to build a house to one of the staffs by the Principal Sr. Anitha Arrackal, marked the show remarkable.

The day ended with a delicious lunch.


Scout plays a crucial role in the overall development of the young children, to be responsible, independent role models to the society.

To trigger the same spirit, our school also provides wonderful opportunity to the students to scale greater heights under the leadership of Mr. Donal D’Silva.

 Our scout unit consists of 31 students. Athul Jomy of class IX has successfully completed the Rajya Puraskar Test.  Adding feather on the cap he was awarded Rajya puraskar Award.

Five of them passed Tritiya Sopan Test and successfully completed the course.

Eleven of them are appeared Rajya Puraskar held by end of December.

 Students actively participated in the overnight camp held in school.

Scouts also signed their presence in the Road show “Kavacham”  showcased  by little flowers stressing on the importance of safe driving.

As a part of national clean up Day the third Saturday in September, Scout students along with their school mates, cleaned the Muringoor railway station and the surroundings.

The enthusiastic participation made the students and the viewers feel the importance of unity drive. The plastic free surrounding   and put the litter in its place was the message rendered to the neighbouring place on that day.   


A place away from the normal environment always makes the children venture into new experiences. Field trips enable the students to find new things, share the innovative ideas and skills among them.

Our school has arranged a Field trip for XI and XII.  They have visited The Kitex Limited, Kizhakkambalam . Students found the outdoor education very creative. 

With the objective of Educational trip, Class X Students took a study tour to Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Trivandrum, on 13th November.

Class VIII students went on a pleasure trip to Munnar on 28th of November 2017.  XII students to Kodaikkanal on18th September.   Tiny tots of LKG went on a pleasure trip to LuLu Mall, Ernakulam,  on 14th December 2017. The remaining classes are awaiting for their trip which is scheduled in the month of January 2018

Teachers and non teaching staffs’ picnic was marked by a one day boat trip in “Sagar Rani” Kochi, on 18th November Saturday. It was a fun filled and thrilling experience to all.


Career guidance and counseling focus not only on education but mainly stresses on inculcating moral values, upgrade students as models in leadership with more creativity and high caliber. The team of Akash conducted a career guidance programme on 23rd October, to class X, XI and XII.

RACE 2 Civil Services coaching in the school also plays a vital role in moulding the future Civil Services aspirants.


Underprepared students are taken special care by our teachers through compensatory classes so that they cope up with higher standards. Individual attention is focused with specific needs. Remedial hours are arranged weekly after regular classes and remedial classes on Saturdays.  We are very much glad that the improvement is very satisfactory with the energetic support of students, teachers and the parents. Well performed students are encouraged and accoladed with Merit Badges that help them to stay motivated.


The whole school participated in the clean campus day. The school team joining hands with our scout crew organized a cleanliness drive, cleaning the Muringoor railway station and the surroundings, marking the National Clean up day on third Saturday in September.

Students actively participated in the clean drive where plastic bottles, covers and waste papers were removed from the railway tracks and the surroundings, spreading the message to make our planet better place to live.  Students also emphasized on using waste bins.


A high quality school assembly is one of the most important aspects of our school's curriculum. Values are an integral part of our school and form the basis and bedrock of school life, as a foundation for teaching and learning.  These values act as the foundation not only for religious education but for the development of personal, social and health education, citizenship and the spiritual, moral, social and cultural aspects of the curriculum.

 Assemblies are based on a yearly plan that incorporates monthly values and weekly themes. Classes from III to XII conduct the daily assembly. A day in a week is devoted to a value based assembly. Debates, speech, skit, open discussion etc are conducted to empower our students with life values. The best conduct of the assembly is awarded.


We earned a variety of recognitions and awards in 2016. We are proud to share highlights of our recognition at a local, regional, national and international level. These reinforce the progress we have made and encourage us to do even better.

British Council International School Award Ceremony 2017

International education enriches teaching and learning. Successful schools are accredited with the ISA award for three years. The accreditation allows the school to use British Council International School Award logo in all school’s publications for a period of three years, a trophy and a certificate presented at an award ceremony in Chennai. British Council International School Award encourages schools to collaborate with overseas partner schools and relevant institutions which support their international activity and invite prominent guest speakers and international visitors to their school. All activities are evaluated differently- through quizzes, debates, short plays, elocution, educational games, exhibitions, cultural event etc.

Principal Rev. Sr. Anitha Arrackal has been named the National  Ideal Principal Award 2017-18 by the All India Citizens Development Centre Aurangabad and the Students Development Society Mumbai For enhancing the creativity of the students in the All India Visual Art Contest Conducted by them .The School won the National Best School Award for the accomplishments.

Ms. Sherly George and Ms .Ammini M.O have won the Best Teacher Award for the best organizers of the contest.


Annual Sports day provides ample opportunity for healthy excitement and joy School sports day is a much awaited event in every school, sports day in Little Flower Public School was celebrated on 18th Nov 2017. The school ground was filled with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. The proceedings began with the welcome note by the principal. It was followed by a colourful march past by the students of the four houses which represented four countries. ie Kenya, Oman, Singapore and Germany. The four houses representing the four countries adorning the national attire rendered the national anthems of the respective countries. The school flag was unfurled by our Manager Rev Sr Leenus Kottekudy who then went on to declare the sports meet open. Track and field events followed. The spectators’ cheering and the running commentary gave an ambiance of a national sporting event. The event concluded with the note, “Winners win, winners lose, but winners play”.


We are active members of Kerala Catholic Student's League, the first and oldest association of Catholic Students. The activity of the year began with the Inauguration ceremony held on  30th June by Principal Rev. Sr. Anitha Arrackal.

         This year the subject for our studies "CREDO--I DO BELIEVE" explains the need of faith in our lives. Members of K.C.S.L gather every Thursday for activities such as study circle, discussion, prayer, etc. Students participated in all the activities and competitions conducted by the league. Students won several prizes in the literary and cultural competitions conducted by K.C.S.L koratty unit and at the diocese and the state levels. Our school team won Ist place in Margamkali for the UP\HS section, KCSL Anthem 3rd, English speech for HSS Ist & UP at the Diocese level and is selected for state level contest which will be held on 13th January 2018.

      Little Flower Public School Unit of K.C.S.L has been merited “the Best Unit” award in the H S section for the academic year 2016-17 in the Arch Diocese of Ernakulam.

         Students actively participated in the rally on the feast day of Christ the King on 22nd November.

         Ms. Lisha Thomas and Ms. Anjaly Thomas have been actively serving as animators of KCSL.


To survive and sustain in a volatile, competitive and quickly changing world, educational institutions will be required to become more interconnected and holistic with greater stress on human values and with greater concern for others. This awareness is empowering because, it is the beginning of taking care of our own self as well as understanding others in a better way. We acknowledge that in order to fulfill our ambitious goal of raising intellectually and morally empowered, active human resources that will labor towards the positive transformation of the community, it will need to provide students with more than just direct-instruction..

Responding to this primary mission, the school articulates a pragmatic approach to spirituality and prayer. Weekly prayer sessions are led by the spiritual animators of the school for every student. A three day retreat and enriching prayer sessions were held from 19th to 21st OCT 2017 for teachers and students of std VI-XII classes.

Comprehensive guidance and counseling programme in school, prepares students for the challenges of the future by supporting their personal and social development and community participation.

         The school provides facilities for counseling within the school and provisions outsourced for students and parents. Proper guidance is provided through counseling, prayer, and orientation sessions in the school.

         Holy Mass, Confession, 10 days Rosary Week, special preparation for Christmas etc, are part of our spiritual formation.

School conducts Value Education classes and 6 of our students won proficiency Certificate and cash Awards for Rs. 1000/- each from the Arch Dioces of Ernakulam for securing A1 grade


LIFPS has emerged as one of the front running educational Institutions in all of Thrissur, and the State. I am truly blessed to be a part this great institution the experience that I have obtained was highly enriching   personally as a religious and professionally as a teacher.

It’s something great for being instrumental to make something possible. I thank God almighty for making possible, whatever we aimed, visioned and dreamt.

Throughout our journey it has been amazing the support and guidance provided by the management. Rev. Mother. Grace, our Superior General and team, Rev. Mother Ancy Mappilaparambil our Provincial Superior and  team, I deeply grateful to them for their guidance and support throughout the year. I owe my deep sense of gratitude to our Manager Rev. Sr. Leenus Kottekudy, Sr. Nancy Maria, Vice Principal and all sisters in the community who have been instrumental for the successful functioning of the school through their support, encouragement, and timely guidance.

My sincere thanks and appreciation are due to my dedicated and untiring staff, who have given their best in all the educational endeavours including the journey towards ISA and they are the fillip to our accomplishments, Hats off to ISA Co-ordinators Ms.Raji M.R, Ms.Sowmya Rose Antony, Project heads and all the members of the staff who were actively involved and helped to sail smoothly in the maiden voyage towards ISA.

LIFPS keeps a fine balance and tune with the PTA and parents who are actively supporting and beautifully back dropping all the endeavors of the school. My sincere gratitude to the PTA President Mr.Sajimon C.D, Ex. members and the parent community of LIFPS.

I raise my grateful heart to the office staff led by Sr.Elsia, for the efforts they are putting to gear up the office functioning in a smooth and the most trustworthy manner.

Its my pleasure to appreciate and thank all the ministerial and supporting staff for the work done by you putting in countless hours to give the best of you.

Dear brilliant students, you are all so amazing. Your commitment to your responsibilities have taken us  always to the pinnacle of excellence. Thank you for making our journey very comfortable towards the academic excellence and to I.S.A.

We are committed to continue the journey of ISA, and to achieve our vision, mission and the international policy of the school and be ‘ahead of the curve’ in educational achievements and become the Best among the rest.
